Last week when I was in Nashville, I met Ed Eubank, a pastor from Martin, TN. Ed had returned from China where he had been invited to speak at a high school with 14,000 (yep, fourteen thousand) students.
What would you do if you could address 14,000 students in a public school in a Communist country? Well, Ed told me that he spent the time sharing excerpts from my book, Handoff. The students especially enjoyed the sled dog story, about listening to God and living out our God-given gifts. This led to four hours of conversation and sharing.
What an encouragement! Sales of the Handoff book, aside from my speaking events and curriculum sales, are at a standstill. Many times I've thought that the useful life of the book was over. Ed's experience served as a reminder from God: "You be faithful and let me take charge of the impact."
