One conference remaining in 2008!

WinShape Retreat, in the beautiful mountains surrounding Rome, Georgia: October 8-10, 2008. Register on-line here.

Have you ever felt lost on the way to your life destination? Do you get the sense that there must be more to life than what you're experiencing?

Hope in Transition is a powerful three-day retreat for adults searching for insight and confidence to navigate life transitions in a way that leads to success and glorifies God.

Your host, Dr. Jeff Myers

Why should you attend?

Maybe you're...
  • nervous about whether you have what it takes to step up to a higher level?
  • wondering whether you should stay where you are or pursue something new?
  • ready to sell your business and move on?
  • out of school and trying to figure out the key to a meaningful life?
  • thinking about quitting your job and starting a business?
  • contemplating how to invest your empty nest years?
  • sensing that you're in the wrong vocation, or ready for a change?
You'll hear breakthrough teachings from Jeff Myers and Roger Erdvig, insights that have made Wisdom Trek a popular retreat for the last five years:
  • Sparking your vision. Discern what a genuine vision looks like, and clarify it to the point where you can get "buy in" from those who can help you achieve it.
  • Discovering and living out your gifts. There's a difference between capability and desire. Here's how to identify the things you "cannot not" do.
  • Successful planning and goal setting. Transitions take time and planning. Here's a planning process to help you succeed.
  • Seeking wise counsel. Learn what it means to have "favor" and discover how you can have the kind of favor that causes other people to want to help you succeed.
  • Conversational leadership. Significantly increase your influence through the tools of professional coaching: effective listening, asking powerful questions and helping others set and accomplish goals.

Get professional coaching as part of the conference

You'll have personal time with a trained Christian life coach during Wisdom Trek and in the following months, to help you successfully complete your goals.

New this year
: special sessions with Wisdom Trek grads who have successfully made the transition in their own lives:
  • Repurposing. Roy and Jackie Myers were preparing to sell their business and retire, only to find that dramatic changes in the industry made their business significantly less valuable than they had imagined. There were only two possible solutions: sell low and struggle financially through retirement, or make a massive capital infusion without any financial guarantees or existing customer base. If you've ever struggled with whether to "stay" or "go" you'll find their testimony inspiring and encouraging.
  • Finishing well. Mark P. Fisher. As head of one of America's most well known Christian retreat centers, Mark had a great place to work and a home nestled in the California mountains. Yet he distinctly sensed a call to "go." At the time, he didn't even know where. Wanting to leave with honor, Mark sat down with his boss and worked out a plan for leaving. His story of that transition, and how God honored his faithfulness, will inspire you and give you a practical, godly way to respond when God says "Go."
  • Tools for the transition. After a long career in the financial services industry, John and Beth Cook knew it was time to leave and start their own business, but how would they live without a comfortable salary? How would they make the transition from "employed" to "self-employed"? What would their friends think? How would their children handle the transition? If you're in a major life transition, you'll want to hear from John and Beth's life experience.
  • Reclaiming your family. Wolfgang and Maureen Seibler had worked hard to build a successful small business, but the cost to their relationship with their five sons was high, especially with their two older boys well into their challenging teen years. When an opportunity came to sell the business, Wolf and Maureen made massive changes so that they could pour their hearts into what they really loved. Find out how to reclaim your family in the midst of big life changes.
